I’ve been working on this for the past few days and just finished.
Easily one of my favorite sets I’ve done. It’s HUGE, and in the mid-$100s, one of the cheapest sets based on price per piece. It’s a bit tedious, but I highly recommend it.

I got that for my brother for his birthday last year. Wish I’d got a second for myself...

I stopped in Toys R Us to check on Legos yesterday - still just 15% off. :(

Same here, and even with that, the Caterham is still more expensive than it is at any other store.

The little Porsche 919 kit was marked up there too - more expensive than their own website had it!

Lego store doesn’t have many sales, but their base prices will not be beat anywhere.

I think I might have done it in one sitting. Really clever how everything went together. it’s also quite sturdy

Ah, the expensive kits don’t sell well at Walmart, their website will sometimes mark them down 25-30%. I got a really good deal on the LeMans technic set.

Shame that the ones at walmarts near me have virtually no selection.

So on a scale of 1-10 how qualified do you feel to build a real one?

Well, I do know how to use a screwdriver. So.... 1.

Awesome - it looks good!
I’ve been tempted to pick up one of those sets myself.

They run their double VIP points which equates to 10% off.
